Share (Savings) Accounts

Your “share” account, maintained at a minimum of $5.00, represents your partial ownership of the credit union.  Your share account works just like a regular passbook account, but as an owner you earn daily interest, compounded quarterly, on balances over $500.00.

Share Draft (Checking) Account

St. Louis Firefighters & Community Credit Union offers you a truly low-cost alternative to traditional “bank” checking with two different accounts to choose from. Option 1 features no minimum balance requirements, and no per-check or monthly fees. With Option 2 you’ll enjoy dividend earnings when you maintain a minimum balance of $500.00.* Overdraft protection from savings is also available on both accounts for added security.

*Monthly fee of $8.00 if balance falls below $500 minimum.

Christmas Club

The Christmas Club Account lets you save money all year long for holiday shopping.  The account also earns interest, and you can use payroll deductions to make automatic deposits on a regular basis.  Christmas Club funds are disbursed on November 1-just in time for holiday shopping.

Vacation Club

This account works just like the Christmas Club only you receive the balance, plus interest, on May 1.  Payroll deduction may also be used for this account.

Certificate Account

Designed for the serious saver, a Certificate Account allows you to lock in a higher interest rate for a fixed period of time. Interest is accrued daily and terms of 6 and 12 months are available.  A $1000.00 minimum deposit is required.  Contact the credit union for our competitive rates.

Individual Retirement Account (IRA)

An IRA is a smart way to build financial security for the future while earning tax-deferred, compounding interest.  Interest on your IRA is accrued daily and you may make payments through payroll deduction, regular deposits, or you may choose to make one, single contribution annually.  No minimum balance required.

Youth Account

Youth Accounts are available for young savers, 18 years of age and younger.  Only $10.00 is required to open an account and begin earning dividends.
